This shop top housing project is located in a small coastal town in the Mid North Coast of NSW (Mid-Coast Council) on a 2,000 sqm block. It comprises 3 retail restaurants and a large physiotherapy clinic at ground level, topped with 6 residential apartments and a rooftop terrace designed to support a wide range of uses from dining, entertaining, relaxing and community engagement while also giving the building a soft look and feel. Externally, the design aimed to blend into its natural surroundings with the use of rich natural textures and colours, abundant planters and organic lines. The timber-look aluminium battens create plays of shadow and light and gives the building a dynamic, lightweight appearance. Currently at DA stage.
