A new purpose designed childcare centre in Edensor Park catering for 52 children with basement carparking. The first floor is primarily for the children while the second floor is dedicated to staff.
As the childcare centre is situated amongst existing residential dwellings, it was very important we designed a centre that would stand out in terms of its architecture while still being sympathetic to the area. Timber cladding combined with the smooth rendered walls and solid brickworks makes for a very balanced elevation in texture and contrast. Patterned formwork of children on the front facade adds some fun to the architecture! Inside the play spaces are flexible, light, practical and designed with the children in mind. DA approved after more than 12 months in Fairfield City Council and currently under construction.
