Two storey boarding house containing 12 boarding rooms, manager’s suite and on ground parking DA approved through the Local Planning Panel after 1.5 years. This is the ‘last of its kind’ as Blacktown Council has since changed its LEP to prohibit boarding houses in R2 low density residential zoned sites. This is a great outcome as Council and the overwhelming community objections made it extremely difficult to get this approved despite everything complying with the code at the time of lodging the application.
